This stunning barrel aged Monastrell, selected from a small parcel of 130 year old ungrafted vines, has subtle tannins and does not reveal any of the vintage’s overripe fruit character. Its deep purple colour is accompanied by aromas of scorched earth, black fruits (primarily sweet blackberries), and espresso, a terrific attack, medium to full body, fine freshness, good definition, and a long, heady finish. |
